at the gates of Heaven, it is wonderful to see the two of them together
like this. thank you so much!

My Dad loved wolves, so that is why
I chose the wolves for the backgrounds on all his pages.

This is a loving gift from my dear friend, Ann. She wrote this, "I just couldn't resist
this one either for Maria. I know how much her dad loved wolves
and they really are such regal creatures. This one is just perfect
and I found it along the way and hope Maria will love it.
I think she will." Somehow this wolf image has captured exactly
how I feel, sigh. You can visit Ann's website for her daughter, Laura, here --

This is another special gift from Ann. I added the words to her graphic.

This beautiful gift is also from Ann. She wrote,
"With love for Maria's dad Francis Sobien.
God rest his soul and may His light perpetually shine on him."

I wanted to make you a little gift in remembrance of your dad's birthday
and I have attached it -
I hope you like it. You have a wonderful memorial for your father and I am sure
he is looking down on you and smiling, especially more so since you do so much
for so many other angel mom's. Please know that I did remember your dad on his day
and said a prayer for you and your family. By looking at all the pictures
you have on his site, anyone can see you were a close and loving family
and I'm sure your dad is missed very much. Thank you for sharing his birthday page with me.
May God bless you and your family, Maria. With love and hugs, Judi, Andrew's Mom

On My Father's Wings
Written and Performed by The Corrs

If you were with me now
I'd find myself in you
If you were with me now
You're the only one who knew
All the things we planned to do

I want to live my life
The way you said I would
With courage as my light
Fighting for what's right
Like you made me believe I could

And I will fly on my father's wings
To places I have never been
There is so much I've never seen
And I can feel his heartbeat still
And I will do great things
On my father's wings

This world I'll never see
My dreams that just won't be
This horse's stride
with one days ride
Will have covered more
distance than me

But I will fly on my father's wings
To places I have never been
There is so much I've never seen
And I can feel his heartbeat still
And I will do great things
On my father's wings

Someday with his spirit to guide me
And his memory beside me
I will be free to

Fly on my father's wings
To places I have never been
There is so much I've never seen
And I can feel his heartbeat still
And I will do great things
On my father's wings
On my father's wings

These 3 wonderful images above are gifts from Angel Benjiman's mom.

My Dad was always the best coach I ever had for softball.
Below are some pictures of him coaching us girls...

From time to time, my Dad also volunteered to umpire some games,
such as in this photo below...

My Dad also was a wonderful football coach, and he coached
both of my brothers when they were younger.

This picture above is of my Dad coaching my brother, Chuck. I have not yet been able
to locate a picture of him coaching my brother, Frank.

My Dad's love of the game of football also extended to our professional team,
the Pittsburgh Steelers. We had season tickets from the time
Three Rivers Stadium opened until my Dad had to give them up
because of his declining health. These pictures below
are of my Dad and my brothers tailgating
before one of the Steelers games.

My Dad and my brothers also all had birthdays that were very close together.
So we celebrated their birthdays at one big party most years
when we were growing up. Below are a couple of pictures of them all
at one of the big parties...

My Mom had labeled this picture above simply "My Men."

These next photos are of my Dad and me from my wedding day...

The song playing on here, Open Arms by Journey, is the song my Dad and I danced to
at my wedding. The words are below...

Open Arms
Written and Performed by Journey

Lying beside you, here in the dark,
feeling your heart beat with mine
Softly you whisper, you're so sincere,
how could our love be so blind
We sailed on together, we drifted apart,
and here you are by my side

So now I come to you with open arms,
nothing to hide, believe what I say
So here I am with open arms,
hoping you'll see what your love means to me
Open arms

Living without you, living alone,
this empty house seems to cold
Wanting to hold you, wanting you near,
how much I wanted you home

But now that you've come back,
turned night into day,
I need you to stay

So now I come to you with open arms,
nothing to hide, believe what I say
So here I am with open arms,
hoping you'll see what your love means to me
Open arms

These photos above are of my Mom and Dad together at my wedding.

The tags and poems below are gifts for my Dad from my dear friend, Pammi.

Keep My Memory

Keep my memory with you,
For memories never die;
I will be there with you,
When you look across the sky.
I will be there in the clouds,
In the birds that fill the air;
In the beauty of a fragrant rose,
You will find my memory there.

You will feel me in the tenderness,
Of a tiny baby's touch;
You will hear me if you listen,
In the twilight's gentle hush.
When your hearts are heavy,
And you feel that you are alone;
Just reach down deep inside of you,
For your heart is now my home.

I will always be with you,
I will never go away;
For I will live on in your hearts,
Forever and a day.
Allison Chambers Coxsey - copyright 1996

We miss you so much Daddy
more than you could ever know
Our Hearts ache so badly
Yet we knew we must let you go.

God only let us keep you
for a short time on earth you see
Long enough to let us grow and raise our family.

Your are our shining star
Our angel so pure and true
what a very sad day it was
when we said good bye to you.

Your life was never easy,
Yet your heart was full of love
Your pain was great we knew that
As did our savior up above
One Day he came to get you Daddy
and we said good bye to you, We Love You!

And we knew it was because he only takes the best of the best.
There is a void in our hearts,
But near you'll always be
We love you Daddy
You will always be close to Our Hearts
Today, tomorrow and Always!

And the two images below are gifts from my dear friend Gennie.

Maria honey, I came across this picture and loved it. It made me think of your dad
and the beautiful site you created for him and his love of wolves.
Please accept this as a gift in memory of your "special dad". Love you.

My Very Best Wishes Angel Francis
On Your 80th Birthday

Dearest Maria

Your ANGEL Daddy will always be near
You will always remember
The good times you had together
Of him always being so dear

He lives now in HEAVEN
Where all ANGEL'S are
I know you will forever miss him
Just remember, he won't be THAT FAR

He is now with your ANGEL
Christopher is so happy too
They run and play together
But they still see you blue

They don't like to see you unhappy
And your eyes always full of rain
They know the rain are tears
Which means your always in pain

Although they know in many ways
You often feel so alone
But they want you to know
When GOD call's you
You will be coming HOME

HOME is where all ANGEL'S live
They say it is just beyond the crest
Because when GOD calls your name
HE is calling the best

MY DEEPEST LOVE TO YOU MARIA

Dear Francis. Sorry we had to meet this way, I would really have liked to have gotten
to know you. I have known your special daughter Maria for a while now,
unfortunately through our ANGEL'S.

My ANGEL Lee, and your grandson Christopher, he must be so happy to be with his grandpa,
what a sweetheart of a little guy, now one of the sweetest ANGEL'S.

Maria, your daughter, is so brilliant at her work, the work she does for other ANGEL Moms
to help them with their ANGEL sites.

Which comes to your site, as usual her work is beautiful, the photo's of you from years back
with Maria, and your other children, I just loved the one where you are holding Maria
when she was a tiny baby.

All memories now, for Maria and all other Moms and Dads that have lost their loved ones.
But we have to believe that all ANGEL'S however young or old have not left us.

They are all just away for a while
In a distant land
They smile at us everyday
And a gentle wave of the hand.
They will meet us one by one
At those GOLDEN GATES
When our time is done
